Sheesh it's been a while. And as I explained in my last journal, I hardly log on or have time to draw because of vet school.
Well, I'm in my final year now, and it definitely is the hardest year, but the most enjoyable. I have been traveling a lot and learning heaps, doing placements at various clinics. I can't believe I've made it this far.
I've spat at another drawing while I'm enjoying one of my vacation periods back home. But as I've said before, don't expect a lot from me. If you wanna see good, frequent art, check out my sister's dA account: uniquelegend.deviantart.com/
So I graduate this December. What will I do after graduation? Well I've got a potential PhD project on avian influenza that I'm really keen on. My lecturer has pretty much set me up for this project, I'm pretty thankful. We're just waiting on funding acceptance at the moment, I'm really hoping it works out. Avian influenza is a huge problem in Asia and Australia, Australia has had the most outbreaks in the world. I love learning about viruses and I am a huuuuge bird person, pretty much why my lecturer has asked me if I'd be interested in doing the project. So this all seems pretty perfect. If I get the PhD then maybe I'll have time to draw more. I'm thinking of enrolling in an art class to learn more, enjoy art and meet more arty people (which vet school is pretty devoid of).
Plan B if the PhD doesn't work out is to work as a veterinarian for either a private practice with cats and dogs, or for the government back at my home. We'll just see whatever job I get.
Thanks for reading. Hope you're all well.
