EDIT: Sorry everyone for the edit! Obviously, the biggest change is the background. I did this change because I'm entering it in a competition. Sorry again!

A couple of weeks ago, I clipped my lovebird Bicki's wings for the first time. It tore me to bits to take the ability to fly away from him, so I drew this picture as a little 'sorry' gift I suppose.

I would give anything to fly! But it's his life that is the most precious thing. There's just been too many close calls with the ceiling fans, pots and fish tank.

It took him a while to get used to it, but he's ok now. :P

Yes, so anyways, I drew the 3 most popular winged-4-legged-fantasy-creatures. Well, I believe they are the most popular: griffon, pegasus (winged horse) and dragon. However, I think the hippogriff is more popular than the griffon thanks to Harry Potter. :P

By the way guys, thank you so much for continuing to watch me, even though I've been very inactive. I really appreciate it. :)

Materials used
Coloured pencils (mostly faber castell classic colour)
A3 sized poster paper

beautiful! Quite the sorry gift If I say so- I remember clipping my cockatiels wings, but a few months later when they grew out again she decided she preffered to waddle on the ground and stay on my shoulder than fly, it tamed her I guess :shrug:
I love how you drew the wings, especially on the horse :D

Thank you! Lol yeah. Well Bicki is already tame. I actually took him out flight training. But it was just too dangerous... so I had to clip them... ^^;
